WOOL 151 is an architectural prototype generated from a very specific and unconventional material : wool. Through a parametrical process, the loose property of wool strings is transformed into a tensed three dimensional structure : the original material of wool acquires therefore a total new image. Following this logic of construction, the pavilion can show very different aspects depending of where we observe it from: from planar to a three dimensional torsion, from dense to porous, from linear to more complex geometries. The space between each string creates an interesting set of light and shadows that is increased by the pavilion colors : a dégradé of yellow to gold strings.

If this pavilion can be seen as an object, a porous wall, or a small shelter, it is especially a prototype of how to design and shape a space at a bigger scale combining a parametrical method with an artisanal material.
